Overview of Women Empowerment Cell
The Women Empowerment Cell is dedicated to empowering women socially, economically, politically, and legally, with a strong focus on enhancing their decision-making abilities. It organizes various activities and hosts guest lectures to foster academic growth, leadership skills, and cultural enrichment in the lives of young women.
The Cell aims to support the intellectual and socio-economic development of female students and staff members. Through a range of programs, it helps women recognize their true potential to improve their lives and contribute positively to society. In addition to promoting gender equality, the Cell strives to equip young women with the emotional and mental resilience needed to make important life decisions with confidence.
Objective:
- Unlock Potential: Organize events to help women realize their strengths and abilities.
- Practical Learning: Run workshops on self- defence, health tips, and skill-building for personal and professional growth.
- Education First: Use education, training, and awareness to uplift women and improve their status in society.
- Support Life Choices: Help women confidently face challenges and make important life decisions.
- Promote Equality: Raise awareness about gender discrimination and encourage fairness and respect for all.
- Build Confidence: Encourage women to believe in themselves and their abilities.

- The Women Empowerment Cell organizes various programs and activities to inspire and empower women.
- It encourages girl students and female staff to actively participate in events and competitions.
- The Cell raises awareness among students about issues such as eve-teasing, violence against women, and harassment.
- It works to build women’s self-confidence and help them develop a strong sense of identity.
- Regular reviews of campus safety measures are conducted to ensure the security of female students and staff.

Complain and Redressal procedure:
- Complaints can be reported to any committee member or senior member of the women’s cell, who will forward them to the committee.
- Once a grievance is received, it will be discussed with the convener of the women’s cell to find a suitable solution.
- The committee will address the case within seven working days and may initiate an inquiry if necessary.
- The inquiry committee will hear from both the complainant and the accused, along with any other relevant individuals.
- The process will ensure the well-being of all parties involved and maintain confidentiality throughout the proceedings.
- If the issue remains unresolved, the committee will make recommendations to the Principal and Member Secretary, who will take appropriate action.
- Measures will be taken to avoid any conflict of interest during the process.
Campus policy against sexual harassment:
The campus is dedicated to ensuring a safe and harassment-free environment for everyone within its community, including academic and non-academic staff, contractual employees, labourers, and students.
Academic Staff: This includes Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, and others involved in teaching, guiding, or assisting students or post-doctoral researchers. It covers those working full-time, part-time, temporarily, visiting, on deputation, honorary positions, consultancy roles, or on special assignments.
Visiting Academics: Faculty or researchers from other institutions attending campus events like workshops, seminars, training sessions, or conferences are also protected under these rules during their stay.
Non-Academic Staff: This includes administrative staff, technical staff, officers, consultants, support staff, contractual workers, and daily wage earners engaged in campus-related activities.
Students: This covers campus students, visiting students, interns, exchange program participants, and students attending workshops, conferences, or seminars on campus.
These rules and procedures apply to all complaints of sexual harassment occurring in the workplace or during campus-related activities.
Activities:

- To Arrange seminars that creates awareness on the economic, social, political, and legal rights of women.
- Highlighting the importance of spirituality, health, hygiene and safety.
- Conducting various competitions to encourage their artistic talents.
- To conduct seminars and workshop to impart knowledge of opportunities and tools available and train the women.
- Organizing different activities to make women aware of their health, sports, self-defence etc.,
