Grievance Redressal System is a vital part of any administration. It is the responsibility of the College Administration to provide a secure and contented environment to all its Staff and Students. The Grievance Redressal Committee has been formed in the College as per the UGC guidelines to redress the grievances of both the staff and the students. The Grievance Redressal Cell aims to address the complaints lodged by any student and redress it for creating healthy learning environment in the institution. It is one of the statutory committee to resolve the issues and difficulties faced by the students in the college premises. The students can state their grievance regarding any academic and non-academic matter within the campus through online and offline mode.
Objectives
- The Grievance Cell has been set up to help Faculty and Staff to record and solve their grievances in matters directly affecting them, either individually or as a group.
- To provide a forum for students to voice their grievances and suggestions.
- To develop a responsive and accountable attitude to maintain harmonious educational environment in the institution.
- To create awareness for students and faculties to report grievances. To investigate the cause of grievances.
- To ensure effectual solution depending upon the gravity of the grievance.
Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
- The Cell accepts written and complaints received through e-mails address to the class teacher or Mentors or Department Heads or Principal from students and staff related to the system.
- The Mentor and Head of the respective Department address the issues and handle the reported grievances to the Grievance Redressal Cell.
- The Cell shall fix date for hearing the complaint.
- The Cell will submit its recommendations, if any, to the concerned Authority for a suitable action or a possible redressal.
- The Cell will maintain the detailed report.
- The Cell maintains strict confidentiality, if necessary.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- To enlighten the students and staff on their duties and responsibilities to access benefits due to under the policies.
- The Cell shall process all the individual complaints and take suitable action thereon in the manner and mode as per the college norms.
- The Cell may form / review the guidelines / policy for redressal of the grievance as required from time to time.
- To conduct meeting whenever required and discuss relevant issues, in consultation with the Principal seeking his approval.
- The institution provides mechanism to the students and staff for redressal of their grievances with regard to their complaints on academic and non-academic matters. On approval, the final decision would be communicated to the student through the concerned Head of the Institute.
